Day 12 & 13: I’m only sleeping…

We’re into week 3 of Oxygen Accelerator and it’s starting to show amongst some of our startups.

Tiredness and stress seem to be the key emotions in the Oxygen Accelerator HQ and for once its not me! Well okay just a little bit but nothing compared to our teams.

With one on one mentor sessions taking over the Oxygen schedule our teams have been busy acting on the information and advice given from each mentor so far. I can see why it is called a ‘boot camp’ rather than a ‘summer camp’ because it is more work than play here! However, our teams knew what they were getting themselves into. I’m sure the sleepless nights and stress will all be worth it in the end…

And just to visually show you just how hard our startups our working here’s photographic evidence.

We don’t mean to single out James (sorry) but Simon couldn’t resist taking a cheeky pic of James trying to catch some zzzz’s.

I think working on a guest post for the blog just pushed him too far. Although in our defence, that was more of a ‘work hard, play hard’ snooze- he did celebrate his birthday this weekend yanno. We’re not working our teams *too* hard, honest…

The week has only started and already we’ve welcomed some more amazing mentors to the programme. On Monday we welcomed Adrian Cutler, Keith Woodcock, Jon Bradford and Matt Upton and on Tuesday Mark Beeny, Adam Bird and Robert Miles for their one on one mentoring sessions.

I was feeling a little camera shy yesterday- I didn’t want to distract everyone with my papping so I opted for the snap and leg it method. Here are the ‘best’ of the bunch…

We’ve got more mentoring sessions planned in the week for our startups including a talk with the people from PayPal- so keep an eye out for the next blog post.

I’ll leave you today with the wise words from our startups. We have an ideas board in our communal area which is always full of lovely quotes, jokes and ideas courtesy of our teams. It’s always an interesting read. I might have to keep you updated on the ideas board in a segment called ‘easel watch’. What do you think?

They’re a funny bunch on Oxygen Accelerator aren’t they…
