With 10 teams about to join Oxygen Accelerator and commence on this years programme (Starts 1st Oct) we are looking for interns to help us and the teams out.
Working alongside the 10 teams and the Oxygen staff our interns are treated with the same respect as the Oxygen staff, our interns play an important role in the programme, getting stuck in with tasks especially ones which are help them build skills and experience. Whether you’re a developer, graphic designer or can help with social media, general admin, marketing and PR, then there is an opportunity for you here.
We’re pretty flexible at Oxygen so like some of our current interns, if you’re a student and would like to gain some experience then we can arrange that to fit around your timetable. Our aim is to give you relevant experience that will help you find a job
Being an intern can be slightly daunting which is why we have asked some of last years interns to give an honest account of their time. Luckily for us they have all been pretty positive- phew!
Kamlesh (Front end development. HTML CSS), “Being a part of Oxygen Accelerator is a good experience for me. Already I feel like I have got a lot from this internship as there are so many opportunities here especially working with the startups.”
Mutasim (Developer), “It’s a great, stimulating environment to work in where you can speak with like minded people. It’s also a ‘work hard, party hard’ environment which makes it a fun place to intern at. So far it has been an inspiring and invaluable experience working with the teams and mentors.”
Azad (Accounting & Finance- financial consultant to the teams), “I enjoy the fast paced, friendly and inspiring work environment of Oxygen Accelerator. It’s a really insightful experience in the startup world.”
Amir (Business student), “Interning at the Science Park is fantastic as it is an amazing, friendly place. It is also a great opportunity for networking even as an intern.”
Sean (Business and Management- Market Research), “I find being a part of Oxygen Accelerator inspiring as it is such a motivating place full of nice business-minded people.”
Jonathan (Admin intern), “Being an intern here is incredibly useful for understanding the entrepreneurial process.” Update – Jonathan now has a job.
Sundip (Social Media intern), “Not coming from a business or technology background, I wasn’t sure how I would settle in here at Oxygen Accelerator. I needn’t have worried to be honest as I am enjoying every minute of my internship so far. I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to do this. Everyday is a learning curve for me whether it’s learning more about social media or about technology. The people here are very friendly which makes it a great atmosphere to work in.” Update – Sundip now has a job.
